Slow

We’ve both been struck by flu. Just now coming out the other end. Or in Bram’s words “feeling marvelously fucking alive again”. It helps to live close to the beach. To go for little ‘sea walks’. Fresh air. Expanding our lungs like a chesty, rusty accordeon.

In the evening, Beach House is the soundtrack to our dinner. The song below starts playing and we gravitate towards each other. A slow embrace. Suspended not only over dinner, but through sickness. We dance. Good times. We shuffle. Bad times. I think to myself if I could marry this man, I would, again and again and again. Good thing he already is 😉

Close encounters of a fishy kind

When I arrived at the beach, a man came running towards me. He gestured enthusiastically. I understood what he was trying to say when I looked where he was pointing at. A pod of dolphins, swimming on our beach! What do you do when you see dolphins? Call Bram of course. So he got to see them too, remotely, via the surfcam 🙂

Had to chuckle when a young dude said “coolest thing I’ve ever seen”. Then an old lady walked over and commented how wonderful she felt. Seeing the dolphins “made her day”. I smiled and said I hoped she’d feel like that all day. And that she should think of the dolphins tomorrow morning when she wakes up.

Funny how giddy everyone was seeing the dolphin family frolick around. It’s lovely to be silly at the right moment!

PS Bad bad video, I promise it looked much better up close 😉
