Fancy some?

It’s a little known fact that Aussie chocolate is nothing to write home about. No offense, but Belgian chocolate is simply the best (Switzerland? where? what?).   Which is why we’ve asked every Belgian visitor to bring some (especially pralines and Pim’s cookies, hint hint).

But today we made a big discovery… Whittaker’s toasted coconut slabs!

Turns out however they’re from New Zealand. Figures.

home sweet (new) home

Turns out after the last post some of you didn’t know yet we had moved (again).
Having moved 4 times in the last 5 years, I think we will enjoy staying put for a while, maybe even more than a year – who knows.

If you are interested, this is what our new crib looks like (warning – contains explicit mellow content and may induce motion or other sickness):

Disclaimer to our mums:  yes we are still planning to come back to Belgium!

New house, new job and a little bit homesick

As they say, all good things come in 3?
Unfortunately it also makes for lack of time and feeling guilty while being thrown in the deep end again.
Though part of the ‘new’ challenge is enjoyable: shaking old habits, breaking boundaries and learning each step of the way – I do wish I could take a time-out and spend more time with my family and friends. Be with them right now and give them all a big hug…
Especially my father -wish I could’ve been there in the hospital with him- and my best friend, after the last few weeks I hope her birthday tomorrow is filled with fun surprises and celebration of life. If anything, it’s reminded me how important it is to seize the day – just sometimes wish there was more time to seize!

Hug,
