“You’ll have to keep riding his arse!”
In a meeting room. Filled with other people.
Did I just hear that correctly? We were talking about a person of whom I’d definitely stay clear of that particular part of the body!
I guess the look on my face was quite obvious. After I managed to squeeze out the words “Did you… just say… riding…his…arse?”, hilarity ensued, red faces and laughter across the table made for another enjoyable meeting, aussie-style.
Oh and another frequent expression sending very wrong visuals to my already befuddled brain:
“We’ll have to suck it and see”
Brilliant.
Though now I have some scary visuals in my head.
nooooo way. “suck it and see” was also the expression of the day in La Hulpe… what a small world after all 🙂

Blijft leuk he, die termen die ze hier gebruiken. Bij ons op kantoor is de veel gehoorde spreuk “and Bob’s your uncle” wat zoveel betekent als “Voila”.
We houden jullie site uiteraard in de gaten. Afspreken ging vorig weekend echt niet meer, wij waren zo doodop dat we ook niet meer naar het Sydney festival gegaan zijn op zaterdagavond wat we eigenlijk afgesproken hadden met wat collega’s. Binnenkort hebben we alles geregeld en dan komt de tijd om eens wat af te spreken onder het genot van een lekker Belgisch pintje!!
